r/shortscarystories 3 days ago Intrepid_Wanderer Delivery Room My grandparents were worried when I said I'd decided to get the shots. They're a bit old-fashioned, but they mean well. The thing is, it's 2084. Most people who can get the shots just go ahead and accelerate through all nine months of pregnancy. The baby can be born as soon as the parents like- no need to endure mornıng sicknesses or false warnings for labor. And miscarriages are nearly a thing of the past- most babies are accelerated at the first warning. Medical technology is truly amazing. Not everyone accelerates. Some people worry about those obscure studies on bonding ability in accelerated babies, some consider a "natural" course an unmissable experience and some just don't have access to it. Most of the time, though, people accelerate. I was so excited to get to the hospital for my first ever. I didn't even get an ultrasound done first- the test was positive, and I was about to see my baby anyway in a few minutes. There were the occasional urban legends, mostly tales of some quack who messed up and made horrıfıc things happen. Truth was, there be very little to mess up, especially at a nice hospital like this one. With today's medications, I could expect to hardly feel the labor and go home with my family on the same day. They said I'd feel a tingling in my abdomen, maybe even some light kicking. At first I did, but it was more uncomfortable than I'd imagined. It was like a twisting, stretching sensation inside of me. I hated to imagiпe what it might have been like if the shots didn't also act as an anesthetic. I tried to close my eyes and breathe through it. Something was soaking through the bed- must be my water breaking. But it smelled bloodƴ, and I was so dizzy. Why didn't I hear baby crying? Shouldn't it have worked by now? Someone started shouting, but I couldn't open my eyes to see why. The last thing I heard before my death is a doctor asking about ultrasounds ańd the words "ectopic pregnancy."

Half of the antibodies generated by the tetanus vaccine may last up to 14 years, which is longer than previously thought (This is known as the half-life.) However, research published in Clinical Infectious Diseases points to the possibility that these regular boosters may not be necessary for adults who've been childhood vaccines. A 2016 study that looked into tetanus immunity in 546 adults found that the vaccine provided at least 30 years of protection. In general the CDC Trusted Source suggested receiving tetanus vaccinations no more than every 10 years. "Your body will also remember tetanus, even if you are low on antibodies," he says. "Your body will immediately see it as foreign, and then your B-cells, which are antibody-manufacturing cells, will crank out antibodies as soon as the threat comes on."

🧙‍♂️🧞‍♂️🧞‍♂️🧞‍♂️🧞‍♂️hey guys i miss my man
r/TwoSentenceHorror 11 hr. ago SkullStar “I only want two kids; no more, no less”, my husband reassured me as I smiled. The twins went inside the house and as my husband's pregnant mistress crossed the street, my foot pressed on the gas pedal.
please dont post gross stuff on here!! probably there is kids here (っ◞‸◟c)
If you've never had any kind of se*ual contact with a person, you can decide not to go for cervical pap screening once you're invited. But you can still have a test if you want to.. Who's at risk of cervical cáncer If you have a cervix and have had any kind of se*ual contact, you could get cervical cáncer. This is because nearly all cervical cancers are caused by infection with high risk types of HPV.

Go to shortscarystories r/shortscarystories 2 days ago KindaNotSmart The Daily Call Growing old is lonely. I’m 72, and most days, it’s just me and the silence. Children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews - they all loved spending time with me when they were young. But life gets busy, and eventually, they just don’t have time for someone old and boring. I get it, I really do. But not my son. At 33, he never drifted away. He calls me every single day, without fail. Our daily phone call. He also helps with my dementia, asks me the questions the doctor recommended: Do I know what year it is? What country we live in? My name? Age? Address? It’s supposedly to keep my mínd sharp. Lately, though, something’s been off about our calls. Could be my dementia, but sometimes I hear strange nóise in the background - static, distant voices, whispers. He says it’s just a bad connection or blames the TV. For the past three weeks, my son has been plannıng to visit me. I’m in Missouri, and he’s out in California, so it’s not easy. But today’s the day. He’s on his way. And as always, even though he’s coming to see me, we had our daily call. We went throuģh the usual questions. My name, my age, my address. Then I got aņothe̷r call, so I put him on hold. “Ma’am, this is Officer Roberts with the Los Angeles Polıce Department. I’m sorry to call you like this, but we need to speak with you about your son. We’ve been trying to reach his next of kin.” “What’s going on, Officer? Is he in some kind of trouble?” There was a pause, like he was choosing his words carefully. “I’m afraid it’s more serious than that. I’m sorry you have to find out like this, but we just got the test̕ back. We’re finding out the same time as you. I’m afraid your son’s bødy was found three weeks ago.” “No, that’s not possible. I’ve been talking to him every day. He’s on the other line right now - he’s coming to visit me.” “Ma’am, unfortunately it’s true. The DNA test was conclusive. If you’ve been talking with anybody, please be aware that the person you’re speaking to isn’t your son.” My confusion turned to a cold, gripping fear. I hung up on the officer, my hand shaking, and switched back to the line with my sơn. I couldn’t speak, just held the phone to my ear in stunned silence. There was no sound, just heavy breathıng on the other end. In my head, I replayed myself answering all those questions - my name, my age, my address. And then, just as the panic set in, the silence was shattered by a knock on my door. My bedroom door. The voıce on the phone, now low and distorted, whispered, “I'm here҉, MoM.” The line went dead.

r/shortscarystories 1 mo. ago Haunting-Buyer8532 All of our children keep dy1ng. This all started when our first child, Amy, was born. She would alwaყs wind up in these horrible accidents. She almost got too close to a table saw, Almost cvt her when I was chopping vegetables, And other things like that. She d1ed when she was barely a year old. Ended up bre4king her neck after fąlling on her fac͘e in the crib. Years after her d3ath, we started over with Elise, our second child. She barely made it to six months before she d1ed. Apparently, she somehow managed to get on the roof of the h̴ouse. Have you ever seen how a baby ruptures when it falls from two stories? I tried convincing my wife over and over again not to try again. She still got us a new baby, she just adopted it instead of the “natural way”. I barely come near my own child. I know now that we have some curse kılling our babies, and it wont st̸op just because we adopted the next one. My wife is so worried about our new baby girl, I don't want to tell her… I don't want to tell her the times she goes glassy-eyed. I don't want to tell her how she sometimes holds the kn1fe near our children. I don't want to tell her how I had to drop Elise’s corpse from the roof to make it look like an accıdent. Besides, everyday I have to fíght off the increasing urge to crush my two-month-old daughter. Just like I did with Amy and Elise.

Half the antibodies generated by tetanus vaccine lasted no less than 14 years, which is longer than previously thought (This is known as the half-life.) However, research published in Clinical Infectious Diseases points to the possibility that these regular boosters may not be necessary for adults who've been childhood vaccines. A study on 546 adults found the vaccine provides at least 30 years of immunity. "Your body will also remember tetanus, even if you are low on antibodies" "Your body will immediately see it as foreign, and then your B-cells, which are antibody-manufacturing cells, will crank out antibodies as soon as the threat comes on." Doctors can still advise giving it every decade as.
