Fury Road When I was 16, chilling at a friend's place, the weather turned to rain in minutes so I decided to head home (only five minutes away). I was driving my motorcycle in heavy rain and when trying to slow down at an intersection it just didn't work. I wasn't even going that fast, because the intersection is right after a sharp turn which was already sketchy in the rain. Well, a car was coming from my left. I helplessly watched myself slide on the main road just a bit and it was enough for the car (doing 80km/h) to hit me. I don't remember exactly what happened but I ended up sitting at the side of the road. My motorbike was annihilated, the car totaled, and I just had a swollen knee (the lady in the car was all good thankfully). This was less than 100 yards from my home, too. And my uncle lost his life on this road when he was six. He got run over by a car, so my family (especially my grandma) was reminded about that and got mad at me.

What would they know? After a long afternoon of dropping items into a shopping cart, me and my preschooler had almost finished the weekly grocery haul. We were on our way to the checkout counter when a lady at a near- by promotional kiosk summoned my attention. “Hello ma’am, could I please have a moment of your time?” the apron-clad woman chirped from behind her booth. Spying the unfinished Coke Zero can Ivy was drinking, this lady scrunched up her face in disapproval. The next words out of her mouth made my blood boil. “I see that your little princess is drinking a canned soda. Ooh, that’s not so great. Have you considered trying our special, 100% natural vitamin juices? Here, try a sample.” Instantly, her hand shot out with a small plastic cup filled with liquid. Taken aback by her boldness I tried to remain somewhat polite. “Thank you, but we’re not interested,” I answered curtly. Something was so unsettling about her fake smile and shrill enthusiasm. “A girl as young as her shouldn’t be drinking soda. It’s full of sugars and unhealthy preservatives. Let me throw that away for you-” Without any hesitation, she reached down to pry the can out of my daughter’s hands. I could not believe the audacity of this woman. “Excuse me!” I snapped, finally losing my composure. “How dare you try and take my daughter’s drink!” “But miss, this is much healthier for your angel,” protested the creepy woman waving her strange-looking syrup at us. “Surely you don’t want her to be sickened by all those dangerous chemicals-” “If you don’t leave us alone, I will report you to the supervisor!” With that, we turned and began strolling away from said relentless salesperson. Only once we were in- to the parking lot did I feel myself calming down. Gosh, that lady really freaked me out. What are the odds someone would randomly try to discard my daughter’s soda on today of all days. The one day I chose to put poisson in it. That rare, traceless toxin I slipped into her soda can earlier today cost me a fortune to order from overseas. The bubbles from the carbonation mask any taste of the thing, making it the perfect delivery system for it. My oblivious daughter would've been dēαd within the hour.. Oh, how I wish people would keep their parenting advice to themselves. It’s not needed. I know how to kıll my own kid just fine, thank you very much!

Izod, Esq., coroner, in the churchyard of Clonamery, near Innistioge, on the body of a child four months old, belonging to a farmer named Richard Mylott, of Coolnamuck, which met its death on Thursday evening, under the following circumstances. It appeared in evidence that Mrs. Mylott put the child to sleep in a cradle in the kitchen, and leaving to mind it another child aged nine years, went out to assist her husband who was engaged in trenching potatoes. In a few minutes she heard the eldest child scream in great alarm, and on running to the house she found that two pigs had got into the kitchen, taken the infant out of the cradle, and were then dragging its body each from the other, and tearing it with the utmost ferocity, the voracious brutes being stained up to the eyes with blood. All that and no wonder blokes don’t trust women nowadays. I ring the doorbell and my date answers, looking just as stunning as when I’d asked her out at the pub. Anthea is a Mediterranean beauty, dark blondie hair framing her bandage dress, her olive skin radiant. But that’s just how she looks. Me and my mates know looks can be deceiving. The amount of foundation some of these stuck-up birds in our neighbourhood trowel on is atrocious. Who gave them the idea that vain cakefaces are what guys dig? I can only tread water as the woman metamorphosizes into a serpentine monster before my eyes. Whatever illusion this creature had going, seawater has clearly broken it—and Anthea is not happy. “We could have had so much more fun together” she hisses, incensed. “This is premature.” With that, the sea siren viciously seizes me and drags me underneath the waves, her voice echoing on as water fills my lungs. “I only take men to sea on the last date.”

New Born Child Fished Out of the Water in the Rear of Fausts' Tannery on Monday--No Clue to Parties Whom Neglected the Baby--Coroner investigating. A déád female infant was found at Rose Valley, Upper Dublin township, at noon on Monday by Alvin Faust. It's discovery caused considerable excitement in the ancient village. The bødy, which was that of a white child, was found lying in the race of the tannery just back of Mr. Faust's new residence and near the small bridge which spans the creek. The bødy was that of a child apparently but a few hours old. From appearances the child could not have been placed there before late Sunday evening as Mr. Faust uses the bridge frequently during the day in passing from his house to the barn of his farm, which lies just over the creek to the south. The discovery was immediately phoned to the Coroner's office at Norristown and instructions were returned to place the corps in the hands of Undertaker Davis, of Ambler which was done immediately. Coroner Kane is expected over in Ambler this Wednesday to investigate the discovery of the déád bødy and ascertain if possible any clues which may lead to the apprehension of the guilty parties. Just a week ago Samuel Tyson, of near Hatboro, found the bødy of a baby girl in a four quart jar in a quarry near that place. The theory was advanced at that time the bødy in the bottle may have been a physician's specimen. The finding of a second baby in an interval of less than a week at a point not less than eight miles distant presents an entirely different line of thought--the possibility that the proprietors of baby farms in Philadelphia are taking this method of disposing of bødies rather than risk further chance of discovery and arrest for conducting the nefarious busıness, by disposing of the bødies in Philadelphia. As I stepped into the living room, I saw broken furniture, nothing in its correct place, just utter chaos. Was this person looking for something? Did they have malicious intent? Why our home? Why us? Next, I walked to our kitchen. The fridge had been emptied. Dishes and food were thrown all over the room. What kind of person had broken into our home? A homeless person who just needed food? If so, why had they destroyed the living room? That's when I heard it. Footsteps in the bedroom. The ıntruder was still in our house. I took a brief moment to be grateful that I had asked my wife and son to wait outside. It was impossible to decipher this person's motives so far. But I was about to come face to face with the person that forcefully entered our home. And I would demand answers. I crept toward the bedroom slowly, slowly. I approached the door, and focused on the sliver of light slipping through the crack. I could see faint shadows dancing in the light.
