TIFU by sending a text meant for my friend to my boss instead
This happened just a few hours ago and I'm still cringing from embarrassment. I was texting my friend about how annoying my boss has been lately, and I was venting about all the unreasonable demands he's been making. I was really letting off steam and didn't hold back on my choice of words.
But instead of sending the message to my friend, I accidentally sent it to my boss! I didn't even realize my mistake until I saw his name pop up in the chat. My heart sank and I felt like I was going to be sick.
I quickly tried to backtrack and apologize, but the damage was done. My boss was understandably furious and told me to come to his office first thing in the morning. I'm dreading having to face him and explain myself.
I know I messed up big time and I'm afraid this might cost me my job. I can't believe I let my frustration get the best of me and now I'm facing the consequences. I just hope I can somehow salvage the situation and make things right with my boss.
