hello! im aliyah! im a 14 year old muslim girl who is just trying to find my place in the world. rn its about 6:00 AM, i need to get ready for school! my alarm clock beeped the familiar tone as i got out and turned it off. i let out a yawn and then made my bed. my clothes were sitting on the drawer so i picked them up and went to change. usually i dont wear a lot of makeup, just mascara, eyeliner, nd gloss. i LOVEE wearing y2k styles, so i put on a black skirt, white undershirt, a tan shirt, and a cardigan to cover up! i wore a white hijab and put some clips on my hijab. i loved looking like this, it made me so happy!!

“hi julian!” i waved to my friend (who was also my crush)
“heyy!”
omg the way he said hey?? it was so cute, i felt my heart thumping in my chest. no. hes just a friend, i cant even date him anyways! (i mean i could since hes muslim, but he probably doesn’t like me and we couldn’t like hold hands since that was haram).
“sooo how r u??” i asked. OH NO WHAT IF I SOUNDED TOO CHEERFUL HE PROBABLY THINKS IM WEIRD NOO

“oh!” WAIT HE WANTS TO GO TO THE MALL WITH ME?? JUST ME??? OMG HUH IS HE ASKIN ME OUT??”

ohhh he wasn’t asking me out. but he did blush a little bit when i said “oh”. OMG WHAT IF HE LIKES MEE?? no he doesn’t omg i need to stop getting my hopes up.

i saw akari and rodger alr there, nd akari was on her phone while rodger was looking off to the distance.
“WHATS UP GUYSS??” i exclaimed, trying to bring up the mood.
“hiiii!” akari grinned, not looking up from her phone.
“who u textingggg,” i pried
“just somebody”
i looked at her phone and saw she was texting her gf.
“ooh akari can pullll” rodger laughed
“shut uppp,” she whined.
“ok ok” he backed off
then i saw julian walking, and it was like he had an aura behind him, or maybe that was the lighting. his freckles contrasted perfectly with his dark brown messy hair, and i sighed.
“you shouldnt even be talking abt me, look at this lovesick bird over here,” akari teased.
they both knew abt my crush, it was just julian who didnt know since i had been friends with A + R for a longer time.
“what???? guys shh hes comingg,”
“hey guys,” julian said, trying to fix his hair.
we all said hi and then walked around the mall looking for stuff to buy.
“omg!! look at this cute miku plush!” i exclaimed.
“thats awesome omg” julian agreed.
“lemme check how much it is, i might buy it X3”
i looked at the price tag and it was only 20 bucks! i alr had one but i could buy it for julian.
“soo do you want it? i could buy it for u” i asked shakily, not sure if he would accept my offer.
“oh really?? thanks!”
i smiled so much my cheek muscles hurt. we walked into the store and i grabbed the plush and brought it to the register.
“buying this for your gf, eh?” the cashier asked.
“oh no, shes not my gf” julian blushed.
“yeah and im buying it” i confirmed.
“ok go off,” he replied (cashier)
i snuck a glance at julian, and he was blushing!! or maybe it was out of embarrassment. GAHH BEING A TEENAGER IS SO WEIRDD.
