Here! have a blåhaj :) ! *★🦈🏳️⚧️!
Okie I wanna talk abt my experiences x3 Btw, this might be a bit negative so I'm
sorry if you're looking for a heartwarming story to brighten your day, this is gonna
be sad. (Dw though, I have some advice for my closeted trans siblings!!!)
So my parents are like RLLY transphobic and a bit homophobic... my transfemme
sister came out 6 years ago, and has gotten surgery and my parents still don't support
her and still deadname her. :/ So my sis warned me abt what would happen, but
I still wanted to come out. So also b4 this two psychiatrists diagnosed me with
severe depression, anxiety, psychosis, and gender dysphoria... So my therapist
kinda told my parents about my disorders and what was going on and that included the
gender dysphoria stuff. So here's some advice for trans ppl who have transphobic parents.
(this only really works if you have dysphoria though) So basically just try to explain it in the most
medical way possible. Try to tell them that you have a disorder that affects your day to day life
and makes it so you're not comfortable in your body and gender identity assigned at birth.
Obviously, my parents didn't think trans people were real and they thought I was just going
through a phase or trying to be quirky or something idk. Yeah but they're not too bad they just ignore
the fact that I'm trans and just try to force me to be a girl. So yeah life sucks now, but I hope
this doesn't discourage you from coming out. I HAVE MORE ADVICEE!!!
If you know your parents won't be supportive, you should come out to people who you know will be supportive to
your identity. For example, I came out to my ex first (who was my girlfriend at the time)
and she was really supportive. :D Additionally, if you're not in a safe space to come out as trans
you shouldn't force yourself to come out. But yeah please, stay safe out there, love yall
anygays, bye pooks <3 <3 <3
